I just wanted to take a moment to recognize two students (Ms. Anastasia Knight and Ms. Elecia Larieu) and a colleague (Ms. Anita Coxen) for organizing and leading West Jefferson High School’s first Knitting Club Meeting. Mr. Winins and I decided to just stop by to support the girls (two incredible young women who we had the pleasure to teach last semester) and we were both blown away. It was great to not only see such a large turnout (both students and staff alike), but to see how Ms. Coxen allowed both Anastasia and Elecia to “run the show.” These young ladies did a GREAT job TEACHING other students AND TEACHERS how to knit.
