Socially conscious students at West Jeff High School joined with thousands of students across the United States and walked out of their classrooms Wednesday, March 14th in solidarity and protest to end gun violence. West Jeff students sat or stood in the hallways or quad for 17 minutes of silence in memory of the 17 students and faculty killed in the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida. West Jeff faculty and administration supported the students’ right to peaceful protest by wearing white shirts.
