October 20-23 was Teen Read Week at West Jeff High School. There were activities everyday in the library with enthusiastic student participation.
Tuesday was book trailer day where students watched Books trailers for the Louisiana Teen Readers Choice award. They also enjoyed an ice cream and brownie snack.

Wednesday , Natalie Miller from the West Bank Regional Library came and talked about the newest teen books at her library while students enjoyed a light lunch of chicken wings, mac and cheese, and finger sandwiches.

Thursday was the students’ turn to talk about their favorite books they’ve read recently. Those who participated had their picture taken and will receive a READ poster made from their photo.

Friday was Fun Friday with a bingo game and lots of prizes and drinks. Other activities were an essay contest, a guess how many Skittles in the jar contest, and fine forgiveness all week.

Ms. Adams and Ms. George report that a great time was had by all participants!
