Another Spring Textbook Distribution goes down in the history books. This monumental task was taken on and accomplished by a cadre of volunteers at the beginning of the second semester.
The West Jefferson AFJROTC managed to assist in providing textbooks for the student body in the Spring Semester textbook distribution. As a reward, the Harvey Raising Canes stepped up to and placed chicken fingers on the plate of every volunteer at a brief reception in their honor. Mr. Shawn, the manager of Raising Canes is always willing to help the school community, and for that, the West Jeff Bucs thank him and his dedicated staff. The distribution ran smoothly and efficiently thanks in part to these awesome volunteers. Many thanks go to Col. Tate, and MSgt. Richards for allowing the students to volunteer.
A hearty thanks is also extended to our “Dream Team” of paraprofessionals, Ms. Franco, Ms. Gaines, Ms. Phillips, Ms. Shaw, and Ms. Crayton for their hard work and dedication towards making sure that the students had the books that they needed. From beginning of the process to the end, they made sure that our students were equipped with the tools for learning.
Efforts such as these do not happen by accident. They are achieved through the united efforts of all parties involved to reach a particular goal. When it comes to impacting student achievement, the AFJROTC and our “Dream Team” of paraprofessionals are willing to go the extra mile.
