The WJHS Library sponsored a Jefferson Parish Library’s Summer Reading and Volunteer registration drive on May 11, 2016. An impressive number of students attended and were treated to a picnic lunch in the library as Natalie Miller, Librarian of Teen Services at the Westbank Regional Library, gave a small book talk and shared information about the Summer Reading Program and Volunteer services through JPL. Students were encouraged to join the summer reading program as they complete their summer reading assignments. Students needing volunteer hours were also shown the benefits of volunteering at the public library.
