It is with extreme BUC Pride that the administration of West Jefferson High School and the Staff of our amazing AFJROTC Unit LA-063 announce that our unit has been awarded the 2017-2018 Air Force JROTC Distinguished Unit with Merit Award. They are one of only 118 units around the world to receive such a distinctive award! It is the highest award HQ Air Force JROTC can confer on one of its units. In addition, our LA-063 unit was also awarded the “Silver Star” Community Service with Excellence Award for this school year. West Jefferson High School was the only unit in the state to be awarded two such distinguished awards.
